The Ask: To design a MIL spec enclosure for the Dell.

Phases: Industrial design, DFM and manufacturing support
Project Length: Initial ID exploration, 1 months. DFM and manufacturing support, 6 months.
Challenges: Packaging an existing Dell motherboard and components into a rugged enclosure that was as small as possible.
Awards: IDEA 2015 Bronze Award
The Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme was my second laptop to design with Augmentix. The laptop is designed to survive all kinds of abuse and passes industry leading Mil Specs.
The 12″ version uses a flippable screen so that it can be used as a tablet or laptop.
